We value our clients trust and confidence in us! Please understand these are policies that we, at Golden Paw Pet Services, ask that all clients acknowledges and follow! We are a family pet care business and we will care for your dog as ours. So we put a lot of effort to do so!
For safety reasons, all dogs over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered in order to enter the facility.
All dogs must be up-to-date on Rabies, Distemper (or DHPP, DAPP, DA2PP, DAPPC, DHLPP), and Bordetella (or Kennel Cough) vaccines. Canine flu vaccination is strongly recommended but not required.
At Golden Paw Pet Services, we require that all guests are comfortable and enjoy being in a playgroup. Guests must also play at an appropriate level of strength/excitement and be able to read and respond to social cues given by other dogs. Before any dog is allowed into a playgroup, we perform a full evaluation to ensure the comfort, enjoyment, and suitability of the dog for group play.
Evaluations are held Monday through Friday (not weekends). Drop-off for evaluation is between 7 AM and 9 AM. Pickup time is between 2 PM and 4 PM. If a dog seems uncomfortable or unable to play in a group setting, we will notify you and discuss our findings. All findings will also be recorded on the portal.
In many cases, dogs may prefer the quiet of home rather than the stimulation of group play. If we are not a good fit, we will do our best to suggest other services, such as dog walking. Dogs who show signs of aggression will not be allowed into the facility.
Daycare guests are welcome to arrive as soon as we open (7 AM during the week, 9 AM on weekends). On weekdays, daycare playgroups run from 7 AM to 6 PM, with a 1–2 hour rest/lunch break. After 6 PM, guests have individual rest time.
Weekday arrivals must be between 7 AM and 9 AM. Pickup for Full Day is between 3 PM and 6:45 PM. Half Day options are available in the morning (pickup 12 PM–1 PM) and afternoon (arrival 12 PM–1 PM, pickup 3 PM–6:45 PM).
On Saturdays, arrivals are from 9 AM to 11 AM, with varying playgroup times. Pickup is between 3 PM and 4:45 PM. We do not offer Half Day on weekends. We are closed on Sundays.
Boarding guests must check in and out between 7 AM and 9 AM on weekdays. Additional check-out windows are 12 PM–1 PM and 3 PM–6:45 PM. On Saturdays, checkout is between 3 PM and 4:45 PM.
No check-ins or check-outs are available on Sundays. Guests not picked up by 5 PM on Saturday will be scheduled for pickup the following Monday (unless it’s a holiday), with an additional boarding fee.
Early arrival is encouraged for acclimation and playtime. A playtime package is included. No refunds are provided for unused playtime upon morning checkout.
We have different rates for weekend dog-walking services. Please call, text, or email us to learn more.
Some pets, especially elderly dogs or those with sensitive medical issues, may be better served by other providers. We will notify you if another service would be more appropriate and assist with recommendations.
Tours are available by appointment only. Please call in advance to check availability.
Dogs change over time. To ensure they remain comfortable, we recommend regular daycare visits. If a dog hasn’t attended in over 3 months, a reevaluation is required. Please call in advance to schedule. A full-day daycare fee applies.
During peak seasons, bookings should be made in advance and may include adjusted rates. We are closed on: New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
We will notify you of closures due to dangerous weather. No charges will apply in such cases. If you decide to cancel due to weather, please notify us at least 4 hours in advance. A “No Call/No Show” will result in a $10 fee for daycare or full charge for pet taxi/dog walking.
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance for daycare, grooming, or dog walking. Late cancellations will incur a $20 fee for daycare/grooming, and full charge for dog walking. Boarding and overnight services require 1 week’s notice. Late cancellations will forfeit the 50% deposit.
Emergencies happen, but if you don’t call and don’t show up, the following charges apply:
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. If your card is declined, please resolve the issue promptly. Future services may be interrupted until the balance is paid.
